News
New restaurants, new chemist.
We have two new restaurants. The Olive Limes opened in October 07, serving Indian cuisine, the owners are fast becoming part of Tring town, entering into the spirit of the apple festival, Christmas festival and even handing out tastings during the carols in the car park on Christmas Eve. The committee would like to thank the staff for looking after us so well for our Christmas meal.
The Akeman opened just in time for a great Christmas venue, with a really smart bar area and a wonderful restaurant. They are also open for coffee and lunches, offering another great asset to the town.
Lloyds The Chemist has moved next door to Graces, this has provided them with a much larger, brighter store.
We are left with 2 empty shops, 3 when Specsavers move and a number of empty business units, the good news is that there is a lot of interest in the properties and hopefully they will not stay empty for long. The old Woolwich site is due to become a Corals Bookmakers shortly.
We have new postcards; the chamber ran a competition last October to find 8 new prints of the town. We had a great number of entries and it really was difficult deciding on the winners. These are now for sale and reflect a much more modern view of the town, please let me know if you are interested in stocking them in your business.
M&S finally opened in October on a very very wet day, so many people turned up and it was wonderful to see Dolphin Square so busy.
New Tring and District Chamber of Commerce Website.
We are almost there, the delays I have to admit have been on my part and not Bravo Design who have done a great job for us. If you have any information you wish to go onto the site, newspaper articles, offers etc could you please send them to Tony@bravodesign.co.uk, we are more than happy to add current information to the site. Could all members who have not done so yet please send their logos to Tony. Please note that the site will only list members of the Chamber of Commerce with links to their web sites and not all businesses in Tring. There will also be a secure area on the site for members to look at the minutes from the committee meetings, details of this will follow very soon.
